Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• have completed at least one year of full-time study of violin, viola or cello
• intend to make music your career

Applicants will be shortlisted for audition and interview with a small selection panel. Shortlisted applicants are asked to perform an unaccompanied piece of about 5 minutes duration and answer some questions relating to their performance aspirations and financial need. Eligible applicants will be assessed on:

• artistic merit
• academic merit
• career aspirations
• financial need
• the likely success in completing the proposed course of study.

Selection Process

• Applicants can expect an outcome eight weeks after the scholarships closing date.
• Shortlisted applicants will be requested to submit via email a recorded short performance (5 minutes, unaccompanied) and invited to a 15-minute interview to be held via Zoom.  
• The interview will take place around June, with the video submission due by the week proceeding.
