2026 Jake Robinson Medical Scholarship at The University of Notre Dame Australia

The Jake Robinson Medical Scholarship (Scholarship) has been established by Martin and Debra Robinson. The scholarship aims to assist students who aspire to make a meaningful impact in the field of cardiac medicine. This scholarship will not only be a tribute to Jake’s lifelong commitment to helping others but also an opportunity for promising medical students to continue his legacy of compassion, dedication, and positive change.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support and encouragement to commencing students enrolled in the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia (University), Fremantle Campus, who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in caring and ethical medicine, and cardiac care.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
• Be commencing studies in the School of Medicine, Fremantle;

SELECTION CRITERIA: The Scholarship is awarded to the applicant who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, best demonstrates through their application and supporting documentation:

• Personal circumstances resulting in educational disadvantage; and
• Personal qualities and motivation, including personal determination to pursue a career in caring and ethical medicine, with a focus on compassionate patient care.

A preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in cardiac care.

Selection Process

APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS:

1. Applications and selection are administered in accordance with the Student Scholarships Procedure.
2. Applications must be made via the University website.
3. Selection must be undertaken by the Notre Dame Scholarships Selection Committee.
4. Selections will be made based on assessment of the application and any supporting documentation required by sections 4 and 6 above.
5. All applicants will be notified of an outcome via email.
6. The University reserves the right not to award the scholarship.
