The 2026 Continuing Student On Campus Accommodation Grant is to support domestic, on-campus undergraduate students transitioning from first to second year who are seeking financial assistance with accommodation costs. This initiative aims to support equity students in alignment with the Australian Universities Accord and Needs-Based Funding reforms.

Each grant is valued at $5,000, paid off the accommodation charges on the student's Charles Sturt Student account, in one payment.
Requirements
- Be a domestic student enrolled and staying in Charles Sturt on-campus accommodation
- Be completing Year 1 in 2025 and intending to continue into Year 2 in Session 1, 2026
- Be registered as a First Nations student with Charles Sturt University AND/OR
- Be from a Low Socio-Economic Status area as defined by the government
- Students must have a current academic progress status of Satisfactory as defined by Charles Sturt University's Academic Progress Procedure. Students with a progress status of Monitor or Exclude are not eligible until their status returns to Satisfactory.
Preference will be given to students who:
- Qualify as facing Financial Hardship by providing evidence of one of the below:
- Receiving an eligible benefit by providing a Centrelink Income Statement (dated within 45 days of application submission) OR
- Passing a Need to Work Test by providing 4 consecutive weeks worth of payslips from within your most recent session of study showing: An income of less than $1,500 per week AND working 15 hours or more per week
- Students from equity groups such as: Regional or remote home address, or First in family to attend university
