Benefits
- A stipend for up to three and a half (3.5) years, with a value of $35,000 per annum (2025 rate)
- A tuition fee scholarship for up to four (4) years

Requirements
- Meet the entrance requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy
- Not be receiving another scholarship greater than 75 per cent of the stipend rate for the same purpose
Selection Process
In selecting successful applicants, we prioritise applications from candidates who:
- will be enrolled full-time and undertaking their research at Baker Institute or La Trobe University
- have completed a Masters by Research or other significant body of research, such as an honours research thesis or lead authorship of a peer-reviewed publication, assessed at a La Trobe Masters by research standard of 75 or above
- are able to commence their PhD by mid 2026

- Check that you meet the entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy
- Discuss a research project with a department supervisor
- Obtain approval from the supervisor to submit an application
- Complete the PhD proposal form and submit with your CV and academic transcript to [email protected] by 11:59pm on 03 November 2025
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application for scholarship and entry into the PhD.
