2026 A J Francis Scholarships at the University of Melbourne

The A J Francis Scholarships were established by friends and associates of Professor A J Francis and are awarded to students who achieved the highest marks in the penultimate year of one of the Engineering masters by coursework degrees.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a one-off payment of approximately $1600 (depending on the annual gift income).

Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

• Be enrolled in any of the 200-point or 300-point engineering masters degrees
• Have completed at least 62.5 points but fewer than 125 points of study.

Selection Process

• The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on their weighted average mark for subjects at the end of their penultimate year of their engineering masters degree.
• In the event of a tie, the scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest weighted average mark for subjects undertaken in the most recently completed semester.
