The NSWMC Newcastle Mining Engineering Transfer Program supports students who have successfully completed the two-year Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Transfer Program) at the University of Newcastle and who will be enrolling in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mining) at UNSW in Term 1, 2026.

Requirements

• Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian) visa holder, or a New Zealand Citizen; and
• Have successfully completed two years (160 credits) of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Transfer Program) at the University of Newcastle; and
• Be commencing the third year of undergraduate study (single or double degree) in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mining) at UNSW.

Selection Process

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

• Academic merit
• Aptitude and commitment to studies in Mining Engineering
