A unique opportunity is available for outstanding PhD scholars to conduct research into the medicinal potential of cannabis and cannabinoids at the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre. The research will be focused on the development and evaluation of cannabinoid-based treatments. We are looking to support a wide range of first-year PhD projects that involve the development and evaluation of cannabis-based treatments across the following areas:
	- preclinical and/or clinical
- medicinal and/or analytical chemistry
- electrophysiology
- high throughput screening
- animal and cellular models of disease
- human psychopharmacology
- drug policy
- clinical trials.

 Benefits
	- The stipend is worth $10,000 stipend per year, for up to three years. 
- An extension for up to six months is available, subject to satisfactory academic performance and approval from the Academic Director and Deputy Academic Director of the Lambert Initiative. 
Requirements
You must:
	- have an unconditional offer of admissions or being currently enrolled to study full-time in a PhD at the Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney
- not have completed more than one year of full-time study at the time of offer if you are a currently enrolled student 
- conduct research on cannabinoid based treatments
- have preclinical or clinical research experience
- be in recipient of a primary scholarship from the University of Sydney that provides stipend allowance.
