2025 HDR Scholarship - ARC Linkage Project

This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage Project focused on developing an autonomous system for detecting and quantifying structural damage in infrastructures (e.g., bridges, grain silos) using computer vision, digital twins, and deep learning. The purpose of this scholarship is to support a PhD student to contribute to the advancement of infrastructure monitoring technologies with strong industry collaboration.

Benefits

This scholarship provides a living stipend of $37,500.00 p.a. pro rata indexed, based on full-time studies, for up to a maximum of 3 years.

Requirements

  • Full-time enrolment in a PhD program at Curtin University
  • Background in artificial intelligence, computer vision, or structural/civil engineering
  • Demonstrated research experience, with evidence of publication
  • Strong programming skills and familiarity with machine learning or finite element modelling
  • Not currently receiving another scholarship of equal or higher value
