This scholarship is funded by the HILT CRC, which is a collaborative venture for R&D in reducing the risks associated with the transition of steel, iron, alumina and cement industries into future low-carbon operations. The scholarship will support one student to carry out fundamental research into mechanisms governing graphitization of renewable carbonaceous materials from biomass, considering both catalytic and non-catalytic pathways.
This scholarship provides a living stipend of $37,500 p.a. (2025) pro rata indexed, based on full-time studies, for up to a maximum of 3.5 years and Tuition Fees offset support.
