Established in 2024 through a gift from Alumni Friends under the Queensland Commitment scheme and maintained by income generated from an underlying endowment fund. Alumni Friends of The University of Queensland dates back to 1967, when UQ sponsored the formation of an association to foster relationships with UQ alumni.

Requirements
You're eligible if you:
- are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or the holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
- are or will be enrolled on a full-time basis, or part-time in exceptional circumstances as considered by the selection committee
- can demonstrate and provide documentary evidence of financial hardship.
Selection Process
The University of Queensland will consider:
- evidence of financial hardship
- sporting excellence in their Recognised Sport
- any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success in your studies.
Application Documents
You may need to provide (if applicable):
- evidence of financial need (most recent tax and Centrelink statements for yourself and your parents)
- sporting results.
